Nintendo has officially revealed the date and time for the upcoming Nintendo Direct, where the company is expected to unveil the Switch 2 gaming console.
The event will be held on April 2 at 6 AM PT. For those in Singapore, the event will take place on April 3 at 10 PM SGT.
To refresh your memory, Nintendo initially teased the Switch 2 in a short video highlighting its revamped hardware. The 2-minute clip provided a sneak peek at new features, such as magnetic Joy-Con controllers, enhanced joysticks, improved triggers, and a new, mysterious “C” button.
In addition to the new hardware, Nintendo is expected to showcase a mix of first- and third-party titles during the event. The teased new Mario Kart game is already a major highlight, but fans are hoping for other announcements, such as Hollow Knight: Silksong or even a potential release of Genshin Impact, thanks to the upgraded internals.
Speaking of upgrades, one of the key points of discussion will be how the Switch 2 stacks up against current-gen competitors like the Steam Deck and the ASUS ROG Ally X. Fans are also hoping to get more details about the rumored custom NVIDIA chipset powering the console, which could offer a significant boost in performance.
