The latest addition in the Sound Blaster series of soundbars brings improvements over the previous GS3 while maintaining a compact form factor. Equipped with larger drivers (85.09 x 54.87mm) and a built-in port tube, the GS5 is capable of a peak power output of 60W – up from the GS3’s 24W. The high power output means the GS5 should sound larger than its size suggests.
Speaking of size, it measures just 51cm in width and 8.26cm in height. This means it should slide right into most desk setups easily.
As with the GS3, the Sound Blaster GS5 has Creative’s SuperWide technology which is designed to create a more expansive and immersive soundstage. Users can choose between two SuperWide modes: Near Field, which is optimised for desktop use, and Far Field, which is designed for larger spaces like your living room.
