Can’t decide between a high refresh rate or a high-resolution monitor? Typically, if you want a gaming monitor with a hyper-high refresh rate like 480Hz, then you can’t go pick one with a 4K resolution and vice versa. But monitor makers have found a way to combine both now.
Take Alienware, for instance. The gaming brand has unveiled its new 27-inch 4K Dual-resolution Gaming Monitor (AW2725QF) that it says will allow gamers to enjoy the best of both worlds.
The first of the two modes is the native 4K resolution with a 180Hz refresh rate. The second is a lower 1080p resolution that runs at a faster 360Hz refresh rate, which is are more ideal for competitive shooters like Valorant or Counter-Strike 2.
